Bright Bright Great was tasked with creating a new brand and website for Wright and Ditson that connected the company to the American Needle brand portfolio while making the new Wright and Ditson visually distinct enough to separate it from both American Needle and Red Jacket.
BBG designed the new brand identity and web store, developed the website, and did lifestyle photography for the site as part of the project.
Bright Bright Great is delighted to announce the launch of Great Lakes Home’s e-commerce store. BBG created a wholistic brand and e-commerce website for Great Lakes Home as they open their first physical location at 2005 S Halsted in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood.
The goal from the outset of the project was to create a brand that at once felt lived-in and modern, a visual complement to the tagline “Historical Modern.” The brand aesthetic centered around a mysterious sea monster and a ghostly ship captain; our challenge was to build a narrative around that story that also rooted the company in the handmade home goods that the company is selling. This process started with constructing a narrative around a fictional family that encompassed what the brand was trying to capture in terms of their overall aesthetic, sense of place in the Upper Midwest, and general personality.
From there, we set about building the e-commerce experience on Shopify. Starting with the blueprint of a house, we built the navigation structure around the idea of furnishing the rooms of one’s home, employing Avondale Type Co.‘s ATC Harris typeface to reinforce the architectural sensibility. This helps the store to make a statement about objects that visitors might find unusual, and helps users to shop specifically by the room they are intending to furnish. We also had the pleasure of working with Anna Knott and Nathan Kirkman from Camera Department, who provided beautiful photographs with which to populate the site and store.
The finished product is a beautiful website and brand that pays homage to the ideas that laid the groundwork for the store while providing an exciting and highly-immersive online shopping experience. We’re thrilled to have been a part of this project and we’re excited to get started on the hard work of promoting and growing the brand alongside the team at Great Lakes Home in the months and years to come!
Technology and design agency Bright Bright Great and its photography subsidiary Mlmtr reworked the first of three sites for hat brand American Needle as part of a comprehensive rebrand, and also in part to prepare for American Needle’s upcoming 100th anniversary.
Presenting the brand’s hats within the context of a lifestyle image, the site’s core function builds upon specific products and collections, helping direct customers along a smooth course to find the exact hat they want.
A robust number of photos capture American Needle’s catalog, and the primary and secondary navigation systems organize the extensive catalog by collection and brim shape.
Triad Process Equipment is a ball valve manufacturer that has been established since 1990. The company is a nation-wide ball valve supplier, based in Milford, Michigan. Triad Process Equipment’s high pressure ball valves have been used for painting, coating, and electro-coating in numerous automotive assembly plants, including General Motors, Chrysler, and Toyota.
Bright Bright Great refined Triad’s brand mark to start this project, in addition to helping devise content strategy, redesigning the website, and shooting product and culture photography. As an ongoing part of the project, BBG will also serve to assist with digital marketing strategy and implementation.

American Needle is a third generation family business that continues to lead the industry with the design and manufacture of products that are admired by headwear connoisseurs around the world. American Needle holds licenses for major sports leagues and entertainment properties, as well as over 30 patents on design and manufacturing innovations.
Bright Bright Great was tasked with creating a new brand for American Needle that simultaneously paid homage to that long and and storied history of style and innovation while pushing the brand forward ahead of its centennial anniversary.
BBG created an interactive new e-commerce experience for American Needle shoppers complete with lifestyle photos to showcase the brand’s product lines.
Throughout the company’s nearly 100-year history, American Needle attributes its success to the company’s allegiance to its core principles of craftsmanship, leadership, individuality and heritage, while continually inventing dynamic new headwear concepts and expressions.
Bright Bright Great spent a week in Los Angeles shooting on location with our in-house Mlmtr crew and Los Angeles-based photographer Asteryx.
In 2013, Bright Bright Great helped OKRP capture the “grown-up start-up” feel they were going for when the company launched. We were delighted to have the opportunity to help them evolve their look to match their impressive portfolio of work.
From their beginnings, OKRP sought to put the “agent” back in “advertising agency” for their clients, and on the back of a string of successes, the team thought the time was right to update their brand and website to better match the maturity of the agency and really show off what they’ve been doing.
Bright Bright Great’s goal in this project was to grow the brand we had created previously for OKRP, starting with a new art direction featuring a slightly refined palette and updated type stack. To complement that, we shot headshots as well as cultural shots to show off the brains behind OKRP and their amazing workspace.
With the site now launched, BBG will stay on to provide managed hosting services in order to ensure the best possible web experience for OKRP’s visitors.

Geneva Trading was designed to be a nimble organization with a rigid focus on its core strengths: risk management, market development, and alpha generation. They partnered with Bright Bright Great to update their look.
Geneva Trading was born out of a desire to approach the world of digital trading with a strong focus on technological innovation and to make that point even stronger, Geneva needed a bold, modern site with which to tell their story.
Bright Bright Great started work on this project to totally revamp Geneva’s brand, creating a new logo and wordmark to compliment a totally reimagined art direction featuring a color palette with strong neutral tones accented by vibrant neon colors and custom illustrations.
With the site now launched, BBG will stay on to provide managed hosting services in order to ensure the best possible web experience for Geneva Trading’s audience.
HighTower Advisors set out to return the field of financial advising to its roots: being true fiduciaries to their clients.
Building a network starts with a single person. Then a single partnership. After awhile, people start seeking you out to join.
In order to get their message out, and find like-minded financial advisors, HighTower enlisted BBG to help design a highly-targeted website to help recruit the best and highest-worth advisors in the country while maintaining an air of exclusivity via personalized touches and interactions.
This campaign included a microsite with numerous personalized touches that happen behind a passcode-ed wall, individualized booklets, and several rounds of ideation for personalized direct mail campaign pieces to drive people to use their passcode on the website.
BBG is excited to announce the launch of bb7’s new website, company photography and revitalized brand.
bb7 is a leading product design and development lab based in Madison, Wisconsin. The original Bjorksten Labs was founded in 1944 and merged with Bit 7 in 2000 to form what is now bb7.
As a part of this project, we refined bb7’s logomark and internally branded documents and redesigned their website including custom iconography to provide structure and clarity to the multitude of services that bb7 offers.
We also did a photoshoot of their products, their teams, and their office to give visitors a better perspective on exactly who bb7 is and what they do.
